The General Sports Authority in Bahrain has intensified its efforts to prepare sports facilities as part of its preparations for hosting the International School Games (ISF 2024), scheduled for this October. This initiative follows the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
The authority aims to enhance the readiness of a number of key facilities by continuing maintenance and development work in line with international standards. This includes providing facilities for teams and athletes, advanced medical services, and spaces for meetings and workshops.
Additionally, training programs have been organized for staff and volunteers involved in the event to ensure a high-quality experience for athletes and visitors.
The authority is working according to a specific timeline to ensure that all facilities are ready to host this global sporting event. These efforts reflect Bahrain’s commitment to providing a comprehensive sports environment and enhancing its ability to host major international events.
The 2024 School Games is seen as a unique opportunity to boost Bahrain’s sports identity and encourage youth participation in sports, contributing to the development of the Kingdom’s sports community.
