I am filled with pride as we prepare to host the International School Games (Bahrain 2024) on the grounds of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This special sporting event brings together youth from across the globe, fostering friendly competition and camaraderie. These Games offer an exceptional opportunity to promote cultural and athletic interaction among students and to reinforce values such as cooperation and sportsmanship, which play a crucial role in shaping the future leaders of tomorrow. This event will undoubtedly unearth new talents across a wide range of sports.

In this context, I extend my deepest gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his generous event patronage, a clear testament to his unwavering support for sports and youth. I also want to express my heartfelt appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the government’s continuous support for the sports sector.

I would also like to commend the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, for their significant contributions to advancing and developing sports in Bahrain. Their unwavering commitment to empowering youth and supporting them in achieving outstanding results is commendable.

I extend my thanks to Dr Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee, as well as all administrative staff at the Ministry and the General Sports Authority for their support in the Executive Committee’s efforts.

Through this tournament, we aim to create the perfect platform for students to showcase their athletic talents in a competitive environment. The Executive Committee, with its unwavering dedication, is committed to providing all necessary means to ensure the success of this tournament in terms of organisation and coordination with all relevant parties.

Finally, I extend my gratitude to all those who contributed to the preparation of this event, including organisers, volunteers, and partners. I look forward to witnessing great results and unforgettable memories that will remain with all participants for years.
