Bahrain’s beach volleyball team continues its intensive preparations for participation in the International School Sports Games, which will take place in the Kingdom of Bahrain this October under the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, may God protect him.
The team’s technical staff, led by coach Mohammed Al Sheikh, is working on getting the players ready and enhancing their technical and physical levels in the remaining period, gearing up for this important international event. The players are committed to daily training sessions at the beach volleyball courts behind Isa bin Rashid Sports Hall in Riffa, with a strong sense of seriousness and dedication from the players.
The team consists of 12 male players divided into 6 teams and 4 female players representing the national team in two teams for the women’s category. Official training sessions began on the 1st of October, following the successful internal tournament organized by the federation to select the participating players.
In a statement, coach Mohammed Al Sheikh emphasized, “We aim to compete strongly for top positions in this tournament. We have a talented group of players who have shown great potential during training. This tournament will be an ideal opportunity to gain experience, and I am confident they will deliver an outstanding performance.”
Preparations are focused on developing the players’ technical skills and physical fitness, along with boosting their self-confidence through workshops and motivational sessions. The Bahrain Beach Volleyball Federation is providing all necessary resources to support the national team in this significant event.
The federation had previously held an internal beach volleyball tournament to select the team members and assess their readiness, which had a positive impact, as the players demonstrated their capabilities and skills in the sport.
As the tournament approaches, the Bahrain national team is looking forward to achieving remarkable results and raising the Kingdom’s flag on the international stage, hoping this participation marks the beginning of a new generation of beach volleyball players.
