Majdi Mirza, Chairman of the Registration and Secretariat Committee for the International School Sports Games (Bahrain 2024), confirmed that the committee is in constant communication with the International School Sport Federation (ISF) through a series of daily online meetings to finalize preparations and arrangements related to registration and issuing identification badges for participants.
Mirza stated, “Undoubtedly, hosting the International School Sports Games in Bahrain is a major event that requires tremendous efforts and is no easy task. We are proud to welcome over 5,500 participants representing 80 school sports federations from 70 countries.”
He added, “Our committee maintains daily communication with the ISF, holding online meetings with the event manager and registration manager to follow up on registration matters with the participating countries, collect names and passport details, and determine the number of rooms required.”
He noted that the number of registered participants has reached 5,500, and work is ongoing to issue entry visas for them. Mirza expressed his appreciation for the full cooperation from all relevant government agencies in facilitating the visa issuance process, contributing to the smooth organization of the event.
Mirza also explained that 4,250 visa applications have been submitted to date, with more applications still arriving. He confirmed that the team is currently working on preparing the accreditation cards, with the designs completed and printing scheduled to begin next week.
He continued, “We are also setting up the accreditation center in line with the requirements, allowing participating countries to smoothly collect their identification cards, as well as issuing emergency badges for participants. We are excited to host this event and are looking forward to its success.”
Mirza highlighted the committee’s ongoing communication with other committees, providing them with updated information to ensure seamless cooperation between all teams, facilitating the preparations for this major event.
