His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee for the 2024 Gymnasiade, attended the handball match between Bahrain’s school handball team (2) and their Saudi counterparts yesterday, Monday, at the close of the preliminary handball competition round in Bahrain.

Also present were His Excellency Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the General Sports Authority and Vice Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee, Mr. Ali Isa Ishaqi, Chairman of the Executive Committee, and members of the Bahrain Handball Federation.

In his remarks, His Excellency the Minister congratulated Bahrain (1) on advancing to the semi-finals, commending the team’s impressive performance during the first round that positioned them among the top contenders. He also extended his best wishes to Bahrain (2) for the remaining competitions, applauding the team’s positive play throughout the tournament. Despite not reaching the semi-finals, he noted that the team’s skilful performance earned appreciation from all attendees, underscoring that their participation provided valuable experience for future competitions
