His Excellency Mr. Ali Issa Ishaqi, Chairman of the Executive Committee for the International School Sports Games (Bahrain 2024), held a meeting with the Transportation Committee, chaired by Dr. Nader Jamali, to follow up on the latest preparations related to transportation and logistics services.
The attendees discussed the latest preparations concerning transportation services, where the Transportation Committee presented a comprehensive report on the progress made in coordinating with all working committees and updating hotel information and delegation arrival times. They confirmed the readiness of the buses and vehicles designated for transporting delegations.
They reviewed the transportation work plan, which includes schedules for transporting athletes, coaches, and officials to and from the airport, as well as between accommodation and competition venues. The importance of allocating buses for individuals with special needs was also emphasized to ensure their comfort.
The committee outlined its needs to ensure efficient operations, including securing an adequate number of buses to meet all delegations’ requirements and providing highly trained drivers.
Recent developments in preparations were discussed, confirming the reservation of transport means, including trucks for transporting sports equipment. Additionally, communication with various entities was established to facilitate transportation during the event.
Ishaqi emphasized the importance of coordination among all committees to ensure the success of the Games, stating, “Providing appropriate transportation means is essential to guarantee the comfort of all participants. We are committed to delivering the highest standards of logistics services, and we must work as a unified team to achieve that.”
The meeting concluded with a clear work plan for the next phase, including deadlines for monitoring progress in all transportation areas.
