The swimming competitions at the International School Games witnessed exceptional performances from swimmers representing numerous nations, competing with enthusiasm and determination at the Bahrain National Stadium pools.
Swimmers from Chinese Taipei, Hungary, Hong Kong, and Turkey led the medal tally across various events, showcasing their strength and dedication in the pool.
In the girls’ 200-metre butterfly, Hungarian swimmer Glenda Abony Toth took the top spot, while fellow Hungarian David Antal claimed first place in the boys’ 200-metre butterfly. Hong Kong’s Chelsea Lam impressed by winning the girls’ 100-metre breaststroke, and Greek swimmer Evangelos Ntoumas achieved victory in the same event for boys.
In the 50-metre backstroke, Poland’s Varvara Helchenko secured first place in the girls’ category, while Liang Yun from Chinese Taipei dominated the boys’ race.
The relay events added further excitement, with the girls’ team from Chinese Taipei winning first place in the 4x100m medley relay and the boys’ team from China capturing gold in the 4x100m medley relay.
