In preparation for the launch of the International School Games (Bahrain 2024), the General Assembly of the International School Sports Federation is set to convene today, Wednesday, at 10:00 am at the Rotana Amwaj Hotel. The tournament will take place under the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa from October 24 to 31.
The meeting will begin with a welcoming address from His Excellency Dr Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee, who will outline the latest developments and Bahrain’s readiness to host this prestigious event. Dr Shaikh Saqr bin Salman Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Schools and Universities Sports Federation, will also deliver a speech, highlighting key tournament details and recent updates. The International School Sports Federation will follow with a presentation.
Yesterday, Dr Shaikh Saqr participated in the Asian continent’s special meeting, where participants discussed preparations for the tournament in Bahrain and reviewed the calendar for school sports events from 2024 to 2026.
This assembly marks a vital step towards strengthening cooperation among member nations and ensuring the successful organisation of the games.
