Bahrain’s national swimming team is intensifying its preparations for the International School Games, set to take place in Bahrain in 2024. The team began preparing six months ago, with daily morning and evening training sessions at the gym and pool at the Nasser Rehabilitation Center.
The current team roster includes 20 swimmers, comprising 14 males and 6 females, who are in the final stage of their preparation. The swimmers recently participated in a local school games event, which served as a crucial preparatory step ahead of the international competition. This event provided the swimmers with an important opportunity to test their skills and improve their performance before the upcoming challenges.
In a statement, Assistant Coach Abdullah Shamsan emphasized that the team’s main objectives are to compete and achieve new personal records, especially with the extensive participation of swimmers from different countries. Shamsan added that this international participation will offer the swimmers valuable new experiences, enhancing their chances of achieving positive results in future championships.
Shamsan also explained that the training includes a variety of technical and physical methods, focusing on improving speed and endurance. The coaching staff is committed to creating a positive and motivating environment for the athletes, which helps foster team spirit and reinforce the values of fair competition.
