The Kingdom of Bahrain successfully concluded the International School Games “Bahrain 2024,” held from October 23 to 31 under the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. This historic event brought together 5,515 athletes from 71 countries, competing across 26 sports, marking the largest tournament in the history of school sports and further solidifying Bahrain’s position as a premier destination for international events.
With modern facilities and an integrated infrastructure, the organising committee ensured smooth operations and exceptional performances. The event was supported by seamless transportation services connecting athletes between competition venues, as well as cultural and entertainment activities that celebrated Bahrain’s unique identity and heritage.
The tournament’s opening ceremony at Bahrain National Stadium on October 24 dazzled the attending delegations, featuring performances that showcased Bahrain’s cultural diversity and heritage, setting a celebratory tone for the event. The closing ceremony, held on Thursday at Khalifa Sports City Stadium, provided a warm farewell to the delegations, highlighted by heartfelt performances and expressions of gratitude from the organising committee, underscoring Bahrain’s meticulous planning and hospitality.
