The Bahrain (1) beach volleyball team has advanced to the second round in the International School Games following two well-earned victories yesterday over Saudi (2) and Puerto Rico, each with a score of 2-0. The team, represented by players Ali Sultan and Ali Yaqoub, showcased a strong performance that underscored their dominance within their group.
Similarly, Bahrain (5) qualified for the second round after defeating teams from Bangladesh and Slovenia, also with a score of 2-0. The team, featuring duo Abbas Ehsan and Mohammed Harouneh, delivered an impressive display, securing second place in their group and maintaining their position in the tournament.
On the other hand, Bahrain (2) claimed a 2-0 victory over Saudi Arabia (3) but was unable to advance, finishing third in its group. The remaining Bahraini teams (3, 4, and 6) were also unable to progress after three consecutive losses.
The qualified teams, Bahrain (1) and Bahrain (5), are optimistic about maintaining this level of performance in the upcoming rounds, aiming to secure further victories and elevate Bahrain’s standing in the International School Games. As they prepare for challenging encounters against strong contenders, both teams are determined to push forward toward the final rounds.
