The official International School Games—Bahrain 2024 (ISFBAHRAIN) TikTok account, managed by the Ministry of Information in collaboration with TikTok and the tournament’s media committee, reached more than 16 million views in the first days of the event’s media coverage, which continues until October 31.
His Excellency Mr Yousef Mohammed Al-Binkhalil, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information and member of the Higher Organizing Committee for the School Games, emphasised the Ministry’s commitment to highlighting this globally significant event, hosted under the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The tournament sees participation from 5,551 students representing 80 school federations from 71 countries.
The Ministry aims to amplify the tournament’s reach through collaboration with TikTok and other social platforms.
Mr Al-Binkhalil added that the Ministry had dedicated a media team and young national volunteers to manage the TikTok platform content and broadcast several live events. Additionally, local media coverage is shared through the tournament account, with over 8,000 new followers added in under three days, showcasing the public’s interest in following this global event.
