Mr. Firas Al-Halwaji, a member of the Supreme Organizing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee for the Gymnasiade (Bahrain 2024), affirmed that Bahraini youth have risen to the challenge of hosting the tournament, achieving significant success under the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and with the boundless support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Al-Halwaji emphasized that this achievement aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee. Their dedication to nurturing promising school-aged athletes is seen as pivotal in fostering future champions.

He further acknowledged the Ministry of Education’s role, under the leadership of His Excellency Dr Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee, along with the active involvement of His Excellency Dr Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the General Sports Authority and Vice Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee, as well as Mr Ali Isa Ishaqi, Chairman of the Executive Committee, and all staff supporting the tournament.
