ISF Bahrain Gymnasiade 2024

The School Sports Games are held every two years under the supervision of the International School Sport Federation (ISF). Since 1990, 10 editions have been organized, the first in Belgium, and the most recent in France in 2022. The Kingdom of Bahrain has the honor of hosting the 11th edition in 2024, scheduled to take place from October 23 to 31, 2024, with the participation of approximately 5,000 athletes representing around 70 countries.

The ISF was founded in 1972 as an international non-profit sports organization. It serves as the governing body for national school sports organizations worldwide and organizes educational events for youth aged 6 to 18. The ISF has been recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) since 1995. It comprises 132 members from different parts of the world and organizes more than 10 events annually, covering over 30 different sports.

The ISF aims for a world where sports and education provide opportunities for all students and youth to empower themselves, while also promoting healthy lifestyle communities for current and future generations.
