The Bahrain boys and girls (3×3) basketball team is in the final phase of intensive preparations for the School Games (Bahrain 2024), scheduled to take place from October 25 to 31 at the open courts in Isa Sports City, near the Bahrain National Stadium.
The boys’ team is under the guidance of national coach Ali Hassan, with the support of Musa Ali. The roster includes Mahdi Hubail, Amir Karashi, Sayed Mohammed Obaidi, Mohammed Ali, Hamad Al-Amiri, Mujtaba Rayyan, Hussein Al-Samahiji, Ali Barhoum, Salman Naseef, Hassan Jameel, Hassan Al-Samahiji, Mahdi Baqer, Mahmoud Youssef, Ali Al-Khayal, Faisal Al-Anzour, Khaled Al-Hassan, Daniel Musa, Ali Ali, Khalil Al-Khan, Ali Mohammed, Hussein Ghuloum, Hassan Rayyan, and Ali Habib.
The girls’ team is led by coach Jassim Bahman, with the assistance of Fatima Janahi. The roster features Billie Vee Wilton, Fadak Mohammed, Fatima Haji, Bayan Marhoon, Zainab Fakhrawi, Aya Kamali, Maryam Jawad, and Amina Salem.
The Bahraini team aims to use this tournament as a platform to highlight a new generation of players developed through the “Golden Generation” competitions, reflecting the strategic vision for advancing sports in the Kingdom. The goal is to secure advanced positions and further elevate Bahraini basketball, following the national team’s recent achievements demonstrating the game’s progress and professionalism.
Despite the anticipated challenges from strong competition, the Bahraini team is focused on delivering commendable performances that honour the Kingdom’s growing reputation on the international sports stage.
